SolidWorks Demo

SolidWorks Demo from MLC CAD Systems

We saw early the innovation in SolidWorks software, the real-world benefits SolidWorks would have for our customers and the value SolidWorks represented

MLC CAD Systems was one of the first CAD, CAM VARs (value added resellers) in North America, and world-wide for that matter, to come on board with SolidWorks Corporation. We saw early the innovation in SolidWorks software, the real-world benefits SolidWorks would have for our customers and the value SolidWorks represented. As a result we have a long, 13 year history of providing SolidWorks demos to prospective MLC and SolidWorks customers and a 30 year history of demonstrating, selling and supporting the industry's leading CAD, CAM, CAE, PDM, PLM and publishing technologies.

A typical SolidWorks demo from MLC CAD Systems involves a combination of fact finding, discussions, establishing goals and objectives for your company, identifying pains and challenges in your current design and engineering workflow and tailoring our demonstration to address your company's unique goals and objectives by presenting real-world examples of SolidWorks technology that will speed your design and engineering processes.

Much of the early work, fact finding, discussions, etc. we call discovery. This discovery can take place over a period of days or weeks prior to our visit (we usually demonstrate onsite at your location mostly for logistics reasons as its easier for us to travel to you, than for you and your associates to travel to us, but we also have over a dozen offices if you prefer to visit one of our locations) or sometimes this discovery happens on-site if there's an immediate need for a SolidWorks demo. This discovery includes researching your company, identifying how your company can benefit from SolidWorks software, discussions with you and your staff to determine goals, objectives and challenges that your company has faced or faces in the future.

If and when you decide you are ready for a SolidWorks demo, our Certified SolidWorks Professionals and Sales Staff work together to form an agenda focused specifically on the needs and objectives defined during discovery and sets a date and time that works best for you and your associates.

Typically we do everything with our abilities to limit our demonstrations to 2 hours (or less) but of course, we could talk all day about the merits of SolidWorks if given the opportunity, as we believe that SolidWorks is absolutely the best 3D CAD design software on the market today.

Our presentations usually involve a brief question and answer section, and an added bonus for our staff, if our prospective customers are willing, is an opportunity to walk through your office, shop and manufacturing facilities to see first hand the processes, procedures, products you manufacture and the equipment you use. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, seeing our prospective customer's manufacturing processes and parts first hand, worth a million.

As for the formal SolidWorks demo, we ask if there's any new information that may have changed since our last discovery, give others who we may have not been involved in the discovery up to this point to share their own goals and objectives and relate any challenges and we note this feedback so we can address these issues during our SolidWorks demo.

Then it's on to the SolidWorks demo. MLC CAD Systems has some of the finest technical staff in the business. Each Certified SolidWorks Professional must have years of hands-on, real-world experience with SolidWorks before they are even considered for a position at MLC CAD Systems and go through a comprehensive hiring, ramp up and regular in-service training and testing to insure that our staff understands SolidWorks' technology inside and out.

But more important our SolidWorks technical staff know that the objective and goal of a SolidWorks demo is to address the topics that are most important to you and your company, and thus both our SolidWorks Certified Professionals and SolidWorks Sales Staff work together throughout the presentation to demonstrate real-world functionality that is proven in production environments, and addresses the unique challenges of your business.

With many,  years of real-world SolidWorks demo experience, our SolidWorks Certified Professionals can adjust our agenda on-the-fly if new questions, challenges or goals and objectives are raised mid-SolidWorks demo, and we welcome questions throughout our presentation, afterall, our goal is to provide you with the information you and your company needs to make an informed, reliable and dependable decision that will utimately help your company increase your design productivity, reduce design errors and get your products to market in the shortest amount of time.

Upon conclusion of the formal presentation, we then open the floor to questions, concerns and functiontionality that may not have been disclosed during the discovery process and then answer those questions, or more likely demonstrate that functionality.

Finally we query you and your design and engineering staff about the next action, whether that is to provide your company with a SolidWorks quote or proposal, provide additional information, or agree to follow up in the next few days, weeks or months depending upon your SolidWorks purchase timetable.

We're confident that you'll find SolidWorks some of the best designed CAD software available, the features and functionality far ahead of the competition, SolidWorks excellent value, and SolidWorks ease-of-use which will allow your design and engineering staff to more quickly design, engineer and get your products to market in the shortest possible time, yet with the highest quality.
