Multiple Groove Chain. The new Multiple chains option makes programming complex groves containing multiple pieces of geometry much easier by programming all selected grooves at once.
Other Groove Toolpath Enhancements:
- A corner dwell has been added to the Groove finish parameters page. The dwell will be engaged at the intersection of wall/corner geometry to a flat bottom groove.
- You can now set a feed rate specifically for the first plunge move.
- New feed and speed options for finish passes output a separate feed rate and spindle speed for the finish groove passes.
Tool Inspection Position. Mastercam X5 Lathe CNC manufacturing software also provides a way for you to inspect your tool based on conditions you set. The options available are between grooves, after first plunge, after each depth cut, and after a specified number of plunges.
Turn Profile. In addition Mastercam X5 Lathe CNC manufacturing software includes a new function for generating a turned profile from a solid, immediately delivering a precise profile of even the most complex and non-uniform parts.
